Task types you can assign

How to assign models
Open AI models
From the dashboard AI models card, or project switcher → AI Settings.
Pick a model per task
Choose from Presets and/or Team models.
Save
Choose Save assignments.
Expected behavior
- Hint when only presets are available: “Presets use application credentials… connect providers and enable models in team settings.”
- Read-only views may show Assigned model: or Catalog default (…).
Requirements
- Project access; changing assignments requires permission to update project AI settings (Owner/Admin).
- For team models: providers connected and models enabled at the team level.
Tips
- Use a stronger model for Chat if answers feel thin.
- Keep Discovery on a capable model when ingesting large doc sets.
