Use Clankee in Discord

Ask questions and hand off work by mentioning Clankee in Discord.

What is it?

In Discord, you interact with Clankee by mentioning the bot in a server channel where it is present. Stay in the channel where work already happens — ask for numbers, summaries, or workflows without opening multiple dashboards.

Requirements

  • Discord workspace connected to the project
  • Clankee bot invited to the server
  • Bot can access the channel
  • Ideally: integrations and knowledge set up for better answers

How to ask Clankee

  1. Open a channel the bot can see.
  2. Mention Clankee, for example:

@Clankee what's our current monthly run rate?

  1. Wait for Clankee to work and reply in the thread or channel.

Expected behavior

  • Clankee uses project knowledge, Brain context, and enabled tools to respond.
  • You may briefly see that it is working before the final reply.
  • Conversation history appears under Conversations in the web app.
  • Tool activity can appear under Tool Runs.

What Clankee can do from chat

  • Answer questions from connected data and project knowledge
  • Run enabled tools across integrations (subject to Auto-run vs Ask confirmation)
  • Support ongoing ops questions your team would otherwise hunt down manually

Limitations

Slack and Microsoft Teams chat are Coming soon. Discord is the supported workspace today.
  • There is no in-app setting to switch between mention, slash command, or DM as the primary chat trigger for general Q&A.
  • Direct messages are used for optional task notifications, not as the main documented chat surface.

Tips

  • Prefer specific questions (“What is left on Acme onboarding?”) over vague ones.
  • If answers are weak, add Notes, run Discover, or enable the right tools.
  • Map important Discord users under Workspace members.
