Tasks
Create tasks
Create Discover, Custom, or Sync Discord knowledge tasks.
What is it?
Creating a task defines what Clankee should do, which integrations/tools it may use, and optionally how it should schedule and notify.
How to create a task
Open New task
Tasks → New task. Modal title: Create task.
Fill required fields
- Name (required)
- Description (optional)
- Type (defaults to Custom)
Add Custom instructions when needed
If Type is Custom, fill Instructions.
Optionally limit Integrations and Tools
- Integrations: multi-select; placeholder All integrations. Leave empty to let the agent choose based on instructions.
- Tools: multi-select; placeholder All tools. Optional allowlist formatted like
{Integration}: {Tool}.
Optional schedule and notifications
Check Schedule this task and configure schedules. Configure workspace notifications.
Create
Choose Create.
Run, edit, archive
On the task detail page:
| Action | Notes |
|---|---|
| Run now | Disabled while a run is pending/running (Running…) |
| Edit | Hidden for system tasks |
| Archive | Confirm “Archive this task?”; system tasks cannot be archived |
System tasks
Some tasks are marked System (for example automatic Sync Discord knowledge). You can often still run or schedule them, but you cannot edit or archive them.
Expected behavior
- New tasks appear on the Tasks list with badges such as Active, Paused, System, Manual, or schedule summaries.
- Recent runs link into task runs.
