Create and manage projects
Create, edit, and delete projects, and open project settings.
What is it?
Project management covers creating a project, editing its name and members, and deleting it when needed.
How to create a project
Open Projects
From the team home, open Projects, or use create project from the project switcher.
Enter details
Provide a Project name and optional Description.
Create
Choose Create project. You become the project Owner.
You also create your first project during onboarding.
How to edit a project
- Open the project switcher and choose Project Settings, or open the project edit page.
- Update the project name and manage members.
- Save your changes.
How to delete a project
Only the project Owner can delete a project. Use project settings when available, and confirm carefully. Deletion removes that project's configuration and history from your team context.
Requirements
- You must be a member of the team.
- Creating additional projects is available to team members who can access Projects.
Permissions
| Action | Who can do it |
|---|---|
| Create project | Authenticated team members in the Projects flow |
| Update project | Project Owner, Admin |
| Delete project | Project Owner |
| Manage members | Project Owner, Admin |
Expected behavior
- After create, you land in the new project context.
- Toast confirmations appear for updates (for example “Project updated.”).
Tips
- Prefer one project per major business context rather than one giant catch-all.
- Add teammates to the team first, then add them to the project.
