Connect Discord
Link a Discord server to your Clankee project.
What is it?
Connecting Discord attaches a Discord server to your project as a workspace.
Requirements
- Project update permission (Owner or Admin)
- A Discord account with Manage Server on the target server
- The server is not already connected to this project
How to connect
Open Workspaces
Project → Workspaces → Add workspace.
Choose Discord
Select Discord (Slack and Microsoft Teams show Coming soon).
Connect with Discord
Choose Connect with Discord and authorize Clankee.
Select a Discord server
On Select a Discord server, pick the server and choose Connect server.
Expected behavior
- The workspace is created for the project.
- Discord knowledge sync may start automatically (toast such as “Discord knowledge sync started.”).
- Continue to invite the Clankee bot if you have not already.
Empty / error cases
| Situation | Message / guidance |
|---|---|
| No manageable servers | “No manageable Discord servers found. Make sure you have Manage Server permission…” |
| Server already linked | “This Discord server is already connected to the project.” |
| Server unavailable | “Selected server is not available.” |
Sync knowledge later
On the workspace detail page, choose Sync knowledge (Discord only). This uses the Sync Discord knowledge task type to ingest channels, threads, and messages into project knowledge.
