Invite the Clankee bot
Add the Clankee Discord bot to your server so it can participate in chat.
What is it?
The Clankee bot is the Discord bot that represents Clankee in your server. Connecting OAuth links the server; inviting the bot lets Clankee actually join and respond. Without the bot in the server, Clankee cannot participate in channels the way your team expects.
How to invite (onboarding)
During onboarding, on Invite Clankee to Discord:
- Read the alert Add Clankee to your server.
- Choose Invite Clankee to Discord (opens Discord).
- Add the bot to the correct server.
- Return to Clankee and choose I've added Clankee.
Expected behavior
- Onboarding treats this step as required when Discord is connected.
- Confirmation is based on you selecting I've added Clankee after inviting in Discord.
Limitations
- Clankee does not independently verify bot presence in the UI before you continue. If chat does not work, re-check that the bot is in the server and has access to the channel.
Tips
- Invite the bot to the same server you connected as the workspace.
- Ensure the bot can see the channels where people will mention Clankee.
