Brain
Explore the semantic embedding graph for your project knowledge.
What is it?
Brain is a visual map of embedded knowledge chunks for the project. It helps you see what Clankee has indexed and inspect individual chunks — useful when you want to verify that discovery and syncs produced useful context, or to find a specific chunk on the map.

Requirements
- Permission to update the project (Owner or Admin)
- Knowledge that has been embedded (from notes, discovery, or Discord sync)
How to open Brain
Open Brain in the project sidebar (only shown if you can update the project), or from the dashboard Brain card.
How to use the map
- Wait for “Building embedding graph…” if needed.
- Use Search chunks on the map… to find content.
- Click a node to open Chunk details / Selected chunk.
- Review fields such as Cluster, Source, Document, ID, and the preview.
- Click the background or clear selection to deselect.
Meta text may show “Showing X of Y chunks”.
Empty state
If there are no embeddings yet:
- Message: “No embeddings yet”
- Guidance: discover or sync knowledge so chunks can be mapped
- Action: Open knowledge base
Permissions

Expected behavior
- Brain is a read-only visualization. You inspect chunks; you do not edit them here.
- Large collections can take a few seconds to render.
Limitations
- The graph may show a capped subset of chunks for performance.
- Members without update permission will not see Brain in the sidebar.
Tips
- If Brain is empty, run Discover or Sync knowledge on Discord, then reopen Brain.
- Use search when the map is dense.
