Teams
What is it?
A team is the top-level group in Clankee. Teams own projects, members, invitations, and team-level AI providers.
When you sign up, Clankee creates a personal team for you (for example, "Alex's Team"). Create additional shared teams when you need to separate companies, clients, or working groups, and to control who can access which projects.
Team dashboard
Each team has a home page at /{team} (for example after you switch teams). The dashboard shows:

Owners and Admins with billing permission can jump to Billing from credit cards. Members see counts but cannot manage billing.
How to open Team settings
- Open the user menu.
- Choose Team Settings (visible if you are Owner or Admin of the current team).
Or go to Settings → Teams, then open a team.
How to create a team
- Go to Settings → Teams.
- Create a new team and enter a Team name.
- You become the Owner.
You can also create a shared team during onboarding.
How to rename a team
- Open Team Settings.
- Update Team name (requires permission to update the team).
- Save your changes.
How to delete a team
Owners can delete a non-personal team from Team settings when they have delete permission.

Expected behavior
- Team URLs use the team slug (for example
/{team}/projects). - Switching teams changes which projects and settings you see.
- Some team names are reserved and cannot be used.
Limitations
- Admins can invite people but cannot add, update, or remove members directly (Owner can).
- The team Owner cannot be removed.
Tips
- Keep a clear shared team for company work instead of living forever in a personal team.
- Connect team AI providers once so every project can use those models.
